I do not digitally manipulate or crop any of my images.  What you see is an exact representation of the scene as captured on 35mm film.

I use a Nikon F4 in an Aquatica 4 Housing.    All my lenses are Nikon products.

I learned the basics of underwater photography with the Nikonos camera system prior to my housed camera system.

Today I combine the two systems, mounting a Nikonos V camera with either a 15 mm lens or 28 mm lens, with or without strobe lighting, on the housing.

The strobe lights are Nikonos SB105's....four of them at once. I feel this gives me a greater opportunity at any given moment to capture those targets of opportunities.

As for film, it is a toss up between 100 ISO Fujichrome for wide angle shots and 50 ISO/Velvia Fujichrome for closeups.

Some images are taken in front of coloured 'cards' I have invented to provide an alternate background to the blue sea.  The cards provide a unique perspective, highlighting further the incredible beauty of our underwater world while remaining true to my desire to not digitally manipulate my images.

I scan my 35mm slides onto my computer with a Nikon LS-2000 Scanner.  I use Adobe PhotoShop to resize the images to a smaller jpg format. I do not crop.  What you see is the pure, natural capture of the moment through my lens.
